MFAI Now Offering Merit Badge Counseling for Boy Scouts of America

MFAI scientists and agricultural educators Nicole Tautges and Esther Shekinah are now offering Merit Badge counseling workshop sessions for any Scout needing to complete requirements for the merit badges Environmental Science (a required badge for reaching Eagle Scout status), Gardening, and Plant Science. Scouts will need to complete a few small items of pre-work and attend one three-hour workshop at MFAI headquarters in East Troy, WI, held on Saturdays from 9:00am-noon several times during the year. Completion of other badges prior to the workshops are NOT required. At the workshops, Scouts will participate in guided activities that will help them complete 75%+ of all badge requirements. MFAI Merit Badge counselors will sign blue cards to indicate completion of requirements.

Our next merit badge workshop is for the Gardening badge and will be held on Saturday, August 7th from 9:00am-noon at MFAI’s Big Brown Barn headquarters in East Troy. The cost is $30 to attend. Register at pacbsa.org.
